68, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2012. She had battled stage 4 pancreatic cancer with an inspiring level of strength and grace. A beloved daughter, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her mother Mildred, son Michael, daughter Cindy, and grandchildren Cassie, Emma, Alyssa, and Andrew. Funeral services and reception will be held on Friday, February 24th at 11:00 AM at St. Barnabas church, 6715 N. Mockingbird Ln. Paradise Valley, AZ 85383. Dian will be greatly missed by those blessed by knowing her. Born and raised in Downey, California, Dian lived in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for the past 30 years.
An avid lover of horses, Dian will be remembered for her long association with the American Quarter Horse Association. Friends and colleagues will remember her as a happy, spirited, loving human with a great sense of humor, a fondness for outdoor activities and cooking, and a positive can do attitude toward all situations life threw her way.
A strong woman of faith, she was also tirelessly involved with her family, community, and church. The service will be at the Sanctuary, and will be followed by a reception at the Gwen Harris Music Building on the Church Grounds.
