WOW!! I just heard about Chucks passing. A lot of childhood memories came rushing in from summer trips to Cedar Point, boating at Berlin Lake, falling out of the barn loft from behind the drum kit, racing me to the hospital when I cracked my head open in your Shiny new Olds Cutlass, camping at Gotz Little Acres, to every holiday dinner being shared with Chuck, Martha, Chucky, Cherry, and Nancy. I will never forget Martha's perfect mashed taters!! We never really new the youngest of the clan as ya'll moved away when he was a baby. Dad got to meet him when he went to AZ to see Chuck and Martha a long while back. I am so sorry to hear Chuck has passed. I do shed a tear as a large part of my childhood included him and all of you. Dwayne and I were recently talking about all of you and wondering what your lives are like now. And then this. Very sad. Martha, Chucky, Cherry, Nancy, and Chris......an extremely heartfelt sadness and condolences we send to you from my family. Please do not hesitate to get ahold of me at Skynyrdmh@yahoo or facebook. I would love to hear from any or all of you. To Chuck, you had more of an impact not only on my life but Dwayne and Pam's as well. You were the best friend of my mom and dad. When you moved it left a huge hole in all our hearts and lives, but life is full of changes. You will never know how much you were missed. Thank you for the good times, the laughs, and the memories. Look for mom in heaven. You know how to find her....just listen for the music and the laughter. I'll bet she already has you a seat saved.....a throne behind the drum kit.Chris Mellott

You are a wonderful father, the best I could ever have and the best friend that will never be replaced. I am honored to be your son and pass your teachings and faith on to my children. I pray that I will live up to your expectations. And I promise to be the man and father you would be proud of. I'll miss our talks about life, music, movies and family. Most of all I'll miss your hugs and smile. I know you are in a better place but I miss seeing you everyday. The heart ache will subside but your memory will last forever. As the boys say, "Grandpa is an angel now," so we know you'll be watching over us and guiding us on the right path. I miss you so much and each day is a challenge but you raised a strong son. Love you always, Duck.Melonie Collini

Cheryl, I am so sorry for your loss. You are such a wonderful person, I know that this had to make your father so proud and thankful. When I lost my mom, a good neighbor told me that my mom knew that I loved her. I was young but I can’t tell you how many times these words comforted me. If you ever have a moment when you wish you would have…… said something different, told him one more time, etc. Please remember those words. He knows that you love him. I wish you peace and love. Love, MelJoni Pettice

I am extending my deepest condolscences to the family, friends, and associates of the late Charles Mellot. I am so sorry about your lost! It may seem as if death if part of the life cycle that 'people will always die' since this has been occuring "to humans right down to our day." Yet, you can positively reflect on Isaiah 25:8, which reads "He will actually swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will certainly wipe the tears from all faces." So I truly hope you found some comfort during your bereavement within this verse which highlights a wonderful promise made by God that you will not always have to buried loved ones like Mr. Mellot. I am sorry about your loss! -RaineshaBetty Carter-Cox
