Michael J Shields passed away 8/21/10. Michael was the beloved husband of Jody Kenel Shields and Michael J Shields Jr. He is survived by 7 brothers and Sisters: Thomas, Paul, Kenneth, Stephen, Patricia Gilbride, Susan Peach, and Mary Anne Abbott. Michael is also the uncle to several nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Thomas E. Shields and Gertrude Magee Shields.
Michael was born in Breezy Point, NY. living on the Rockaway Peninsula throughout his life. Michael was a graduate of New York Tech and drove for Quadrozzi Concrete.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Denis S. O’ Connor Funeral Home, Rockaway Beach. His funeral mass took place at St. Francis de Sales Church, Belle Harbor, where he attended Elementary School and Services.
Michael will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Michael will be in our thoughts and prayers forever.

I believe with all my being Mike was taken to heaven on the wings of an angel, where there is no pain or anguish. He was a gift from God to be cherished and remembered. He will be in our hearts and prayers always
